"Gnarly"

5

Challenging and unique race. Omg the humid air in the woods was hot n thick, tripping over roots was a constant threat, and the up n down hilly switchbacks eventually defeated me. 7k felt like 7miles. The 2nd half was literally hell, lol.

"Fun and challenging"

Tough trails are made well worth it. Lots of fun, bacon, friends, and new this year-freeze pops and music! One of my favorite races.

"A Dizzying Array of Hills, Branches, Logs and Plants - Challenging Race, Thoroughly Fun!"

In a small suburban neighborhood, there once lived a man named Pat Thorne. Pat Thorne liked to run. One day, Mr. Thorne did not drink water for 2 hours, and then he ran a mile fairly hard through his neighborhood, a route that ended at his house.

"An unexpected challenge!!"

This race seems to be silly, but is is a real hard race due the type of trails and weather conditions, it is a good way to feel the trails under your feet.

"Tough but FUN race"

5

Overall a well organized event. The run itself was very tough due to technical trail but the organizer had it extremely well marked with flags. Some highlights of the race were the bacon and wet washcloths at the aid station and freeze pops at the finish line.

"Tough, But Rewarding"

This trail race really kicked my tail! Inexperienced runners may be frustrated by the endless number of switchbacks and the copious ups and downs in the latter half of the race.

"Toughest course south of the canal on Delmarva"

Usually very hot and humid evening race. No breeze in the treeze. Extremely short but steep hills in the final third. Save your stamina for them.
