"Good Potential"

3

Had great weather, and I ran a really good time in the half marathon. Enjoyed the flat, closed course (no car traffic), but a couple of miles of roads early in the race were in poor condition. I stepped in a hole in section that was covered by grass.

"A course unlike any other ! "

After driving by the Seneca Army depot for 50+ years and finally being inside was really....haunting The way that nature has been to reclaim the bunkers and access roads was really something to see, knowing how busy this was at one time

"Lack of Medals & Parking Issues"

3

I know this was a first event of this kind and kinks had to be worked out. I walked the 5K rather than run as I had a car accident and it is uncomfortable to run or even jog. One issue was not receiving a medal at the end of the race.

"Parking "

3

The gentleman who organized the parking was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. The tent was set up in the back to sign up where no signs were there was a building in the front it was locked nobody could go into.

"race summary"

4

The organization was good and 5k race layout was very good and straight forward. I enjoyed it and would run it again.

"Very nice race. I did the 5k. It's a wonderful flat course and small numbers so not crowded."

After race tomato pie was like bruchetta and tasty but too acidic for a good recovery food.

"Half Marathon, Interesting course"

4

Could be a 5 with some minor tweaks. Solid 4.5 / 5. Distance a little short although easy to fix. Course was really fun although a little challenging in some of the older paths with lose asphalt, tall grass and yet this added to the fun in some ways. Very fast course.

"An Interesting Venue for a Well-Run First-Time Race"

4

I have run several of Willow Running's races, all half-marathons. They all tend to be a bit off the beaten path. This one was no different! And that's a good thing. The course itself, along the service/access roads to Cold-War-Era bomb shelters, was fascinating.

"First Annual Deer Race"

5

Overall, fun race. Some improvements need to be made
1. Parking should start near the beginning of the start line. Late in-coming cars were being parked there when runners were walking to the start line.
