I have done this tri for three years and to be completely honest the experience of the tri has not been the greatest. The first year I let the few mistakes slip and just wanted to do it for the experience and the struggles I had I blamed on myself for being a tri newbie. The second year it was a little better the chips seemed to work better and the helpers at the edge of the ocean were much appreciated. This year was utterly disappointing and frustrating. First of all if you were going to make the tri so big then the transition area needed to be bigger. Seven bikes to a rack was a bit much and there wasn’t enough room for everyone to transition. I know someone who did the New Jersey State tri and she said she had her own transition space and enough room to move around. Additionally switching the run was not the best the finish was super crowded and didn’t provide a great experience for the end of the hard work just put in. The shirts are crappy and if you are going to please women of all sizes then quality needs to be thought of. Every year the shirts disappoint me and frustrate me because I am a bigger gal but I like to show off the shirt i just earned. Sorry if I am the only one who feels this way but someone has to say it.
