This is one of my favorite endurance events. It benefits a great cause and the organizers and volunteers are very friendly. There are multiple distances to swim - 1, 2, 2.4, 3 4, and 5 mile options are available. The venue is lovely and the river is friendly but challenging. The post race food may be the best I've ever had.

Top Tips: 
bring Gatorade or other recovery drink- it is easy to get dehydrated in the heat.
