A sprint triathlon is totally doable. 400 meter pool swim (only 5 ft deep just in case), 12 mile bike, 3.2 mile run. The course is challenging, but fun. It is Jefferson City so you will find hills! The addition of Ultramax timing after the first year was AMAZING. They were able to print off all of my times including transition times and my place among those who had already finished instantly after crossing the line. Food and drink provided were great. The shirts are always cool. They've always had completion medals and this year I placed and the prizes are always unique. It's a sprint triathlon, so make sure your bike is free of mechanical problems because if you encounter a problem in a sprint, you're pretty much out of the race. Course markings and water stations are all good.

Top Tips:
Know your swim times. People who are not lined up correctly in line can cause a bottleneck in the middle lanes as it isn't easy to pass in the middle lanes. They have a "get your swim time" event one week prior where they time you swimming the actual course. It is free to all participants and makes for a smooth race day.
