This is one of my favorites, with incredible organization and a great experience from check-in finish. You will like the swag bag (it's a potato sack), the pre-race pasta dinner, and the post-race food. The race itself is wonderful, featuring wooded trails and a run through farmland. Most aid stations are located in front of homes and all were very well-stocked with gels and water/sports drinks. You won't go hungry or thirsty during the run, and I suggest bringing a camera if you aren't intent on a time goal.
The organizers really pay attention to every little detail and want to ensure people enjoy the race. They don't have gear bags but instead encourage people to simply place their excess clothing either on the transport bus or at aid stations. They then sort and place all the belongs near the finish line for easy pick-up after the race.
