I was inspired by the cause of running in support of veterans and there was a sense of comradery not felt in other races because of the small field of runners(101). There were plenty hydration stops along the way and a warm sandwich and beer waiting after the finish. I highly recommend giving this race a try!

Top Tips:
Train a bit more aggressively for this half marathon than you would for others. I trained by running lots of hills and the longest training run before my taper was 15 miles. It’s a tough course! On race day, make up some time on the downhills and the flats that you might have lost on the big hills.
