My first open water swim in many years. The swim was in Shady Oak lake in Hopkins. The water was relatively warm for this time of year. No wetsuit necessary, although most wore them. Great race organization, registration was well done and relatively quick. Lots of food after the race.

Top Tips:
Start slow and speed up. A few people blew up early. Swim 3-4 feet wide of the buoys, you can avoid the traffic and congestion.
