So there’s something for everyone. Be there!
Address: Riverfront Park, River Road, Point Pleasant, NJ, United States
Directions to the race, maps of the venue, etc were done well. There was a festive atmosphere, even after delaying the race a day due to weather/conditions. Free food after was excellent. The professional photographer allows free downloads of her photos.
Treasure island pirate paddle is a great way to start the year off in NJ. Weather didn’t cooperate on Saturday but Rich and crew made right call putting safety first. Communication, site maps and course make it easy to find and know where you will be paddling.
I competed in the 3.5 mile recreational race. The race was well organized and had a good vibe to it.... The beach set up for registration & vendors as well as the race course was well organized. Town police were friendly & allowed board drop off -
Rich and his staff are first rate. Friendly, helpful and encouraging. Check in was fast and painless. Point Pleasant is one of the prettiest towns on the Jersey Shore. My son and I raced the 3.5 miler. The course can be challenging with tides, wind and chop, so come prepared.
The Point Pleasant Treasure Island Paddle Race was invigorating, challenging, and a lot of fun! The racers, the people and the race director were great. Look forward to see you all next year
