Oh boy, a mountain challenge for sure. The 50, 70 and 100 miles options all leave the start area and after about 300 yards start climbing up US 250. Crest the top and zoom down the other side for what seemed like 8 miles; totally worth the climb.

"Beautiful, tough, fun"

This was my first full century and I couldn't have picked a better or more rewarding experience. The scenery is incredible (especially Snowy Mountain) and the challenging climbs and thrilling descents keep the long miles from feeling anywhere near monotonous.

"Fabulous views, rest stops, & post ride meal"

This was our first time participating in Mountain Mama & we were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was a nice touch, the goody bags were excellent, the rest stops were very well stocked, the post ride meal & ice cream were delicious! The climbs were challenging, but rewarding!

"Great ride "

An incredibly challenging century that has first class support. The Mountain Mama organizers should offer event prep and execution seminars for others.

"Well-organized event with different route options, ample stocked reststops, hardly any traffic, as many climbs as you want, beautiful scenery and valley views."

We've been coming for years and will continue to as long as the legs let us. We participate in several annual events and this has always been our favorite. The various routes offer something for everyone, and the views near Monterey are simply astounding.

"The scenery and organization is second to none"

I did the 27 mile ride. Everything was so organized, the host could not have been more helpful and friendly and then the scenery, amazing. I will be back next year.

"Rejuvenating Ride "

I have biked this ride many times and every year this ride brings me back to Highland county for many reasons. A few reasons first and form most is the beautiful valley and mountain sights during the ride that is so rejuvenating.

"Tough but well supported!"

My friend and I completed the 53-miler. This area is breathtakingly beautiful and the roads are well maintained. The volunteers were so kind and made extra sure we were safe and protected from traffic. Loved the exotic flavors of maple syrup on the ice cream at the end.
