"J Poupart review"

I like the race this year. I like the trail surface versus blacktop or sidewalk. I thought there should be portable bathrooms along the way

"No Frills Marathon 2019"

I selected this race because it close to home and a rails to trails course. The course is beautiful, and fairly flat. There are plenty of aid stations with water and gatorade. I highly recommend it and will mention it to our running friends.

"Great Race"

I ran the No Frills Marathon and Half Marathon in 2018 and 2019 respectively and I can't rave about this race enough! It's fabulous! The route is beautiful, the energy and support that is out there is great! It's low cost, low key and beautiful!

"Amazing First Marathon"

I chose the No Frills Marathon for my first attempt at 26.2 because of it being close to family and a nice flat course for my first go around. I really loved the relaxed energy about the race from start to finish. The quiet starting line, and beautiful Northwoods trail were great.

"Perfect weather. Beautiful course."

Point-to-point Marathon with 7am start. Convenient bus from finish line in Minocqua to start in Nokomis (near Tomahawk).
Well organized. Nice aid stations every 2miles staffed by friendly, courteous volunteers.

"50 state dude "

The Minocqua No Frills Marathon was my state for WI. For me it worked out great because it was on labor day weekend so I didn't have to use any vacation days. This was my smallest marathon yet but the folks where very helpful and nice.

"Great trail to run on, only one small hill and plenty of food and refreshments at the finish. Cool medal as well!"

It's a beautiful trail and easy to follow. Water or Gatorade every 2 miles and the finish has plenty of post race refreshments along with some food. Very cool t-shirt and medal. I'd highly encourage this race!

"Beautiful "

The Bearskin trail was a beautiful trail to follow. With only over 80 runners for the marathon, it was a personal one. You and the north woods of Wisconsin. The trail and bridges were in great condition with plenty of water stations.
