"Well organized & very fun!"

5

Well organized swim event at a great venue. I've enjoyed lap swimming at Shady Oak Lake/Beach, but 'have always wanted to do a full OW swim. I'll be back - especially with such an affordable entry fee!

"Great first open water experience for the season. Great energy and organization. "

Loved the chance to have an open water swim. The only little part that was uncomfortable was having the 1.2 group merge as the .9 and .3 were starting the swim. This extended the contact part of this sport through 1/2 of the swim instead of just the start.

"Good ride"

Perfect weather and good people. Some were truly racing, while others just enjoyed the ride. Very scenic area.

"Great event "

Doobie puts on a great event.
My only thought is let the sprint/short course go later so they are not running into us as we finish the small loop and head out to the big loop :)

Doobie puts on quality events. This event was no exception. Registration, day-of operations, and post-swim events were all well done.

From the pre-race communication to the day of the event everything about the event was enjoyable and smooth. I like the idea behind this event as well as the the time of year.

"Fun event"

The water was deceivingly warm on the starting line. Everyone surrounding the event was awesome-lifeguards, MC, support staff and volunteers.

"1st annual Open Water Challenge"

5

My first open water swim in many years. The swim was in Shady Oak lake in Hopkins. The water was relatively warm for this time of year. No wetsuit necessary, although most wore them. Great race organization, registration was well done and relatively quick. Lots of food after the race.

This was a good practice swim before my multi sport events for the summer. It was a great get together after the race with other local events as well
