Really enjoyed my first trip to Rocky Raccoon and I have mostly positive things to report about the race. The RD and teams of volunteers did a great job organizing everything and the event went off without any major issues as far as I could tell.
I can't say enough about the Tejas Trails Rocky Raccoon 100 event. I was attempting my 3rd 100 mile race (having dnfed the first two) and this was the perfect event. Chris McWatters (race director) and his crew and volunteers were so amazing to assist with anything I needed.
I'll caveat this post by saying the old 5 loop course was my absolute favorite 100 miler out there. So this new course had a lot of big shoes to fill. Unfortunately, this new course includes a ton of double tracking/out-and-backs, far more than the old course.
