I have run this marathon 4 times and it just remains one of my favorites. It is hilly, but not overly so. The course is really beautiful if you enjoy a country run and fall leaves. The people are so supportive and welcome you to New Hampshire. And all the fee goes to charity.
I ran the marathon distance. I agree with other comments about the beautiful scenery but dangerous running routes which were not closed to traffic. I also lost my $h1t around mile 15 when I realized there would be no food on the course. I’ve run around 90 marathons; this one was just average.
My husband and I decided to try this race for the first time this year. I ran the 10K and had a wonderful time. The first two miles were a challenge Be but after that I was very happy with the course and my time. People were friendly, scenery was beautiful. We will return next year.
